Dyslexia is still widely misunderstood in Kenya. Many parents first hear the word from us — and many children are punished for symptoms no one has named. Awareness is the first step toward change. When families and communities understand dyslexia, children stop being blamed and start being supported.

Media engagements

We use television, radio, and digital platforms to spread awareness about dyslexia. These broadcasts reach thousands of parents and educators who may never attend a workshop — but who recognise their child in what they hear. Every media appearance is a chance to replace shame with understanding, and isolation with the knowledge that help exists.

School visitations

Beyond training teachers, our school visits raise awareness among parents and the wider school community. We speak at school assemblies, parent meetings, and education days.

When a whole school community understands dyslexia, the dyslexic child is no longer alone.

Community gatherings

We also organise awareness through formal gatherings in school set-ups and community spaces — bringing together parents, chiefs, religious leaders, and local officials. These gatherings create local champions who carry the message forward long after we have left.
